Project Overview

Built the core technology for a digital asset marketplace on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Polygon, including complex smart contracts (Solidity) for custody and voting.

Challenges

Blockstation required the development of core technology for a digital asset marketplace that could meet and exceed the demanding performance, availability, and security standards of traditional financial exchanges. Key challenges included achieving high-speed order processing (thousands per second), ensuring high availability for mission-critical processes, designing secure custody solutions, managing massive volumes of trading data, and navigating regulatory compliance.

Solution

Superscript Systems designed and built the foundational technology for the Blockstation platform. They implemented a microservice-oriented architecture, a highly scalable cloud infrastructure, and complex smart contracts for custody and voting. They also developed a secure digital currency custody solution, a specialized Big Data solution for trading data, and integrated a third-party KYC system. Their work included DevOps, cloud monitoring, and designing an internal and blockchain reconciliation solution.

Results

The core technology developed by Superscript Systems enabled the platform to achieve speeds of thousands of orders per second and meet mission-critical availability standards. They successfully designed a secure, high-performance, and compliant digital asset marketplace, and their assistance was crucial for achieving PCI compliance. The successful collaboration has evolved into a 5+ year ongoing client relationship.
